Chase Courington believes in the power of serving his community.

- When I first moved to Breckenridge‚ CO in December‚ 2007 to be a snowboard bum I “interned” with SOS Outreach (then Snowboard Outreach Society) to complete my final 3 credits for my BA at George Mason University. Since then I have served 2 one year terms as an Americorps VISTA for SOS Outreach doing many different things including in–house design and web development projects. During these periods I have designed rack cards to advertise youth winter sports programs‚ summer programs‚ print ads that ran in Ski and Skiing magazines‚ vinyl banners‚ sticker‚ posters‚ GUI web buttons to integrate into the website‚ CSS edits to the Ning.com powered website‚ and coded up the HTML email newsletter each month. Working closely with the Executive Director‚ Development Director and Community Relations Manager I helped to promote their re–brand after adopting summer programs‚ a new logo and a name change. I focused many materials on the 5 core values that are central to all of SOS′ youth programs and set it apart as a brand. June‚ 2009 to June‚ 2010
