Chase Courington doesn′t get on the stuntwood nearly enough.

- Jawfu is a group of skateboarders hailing from The Lot in Springfield‚ VA. Some of us have moved but most all still live around Washington DC. Jawfu has been around for a long time now and when I was assigned to create a website from the ground up as part of the Web Design Certificate at RMCAD I felt this would be a good opportunity to get Jawfu on the web. The class assignment called for putting into practice many of the User Experience Design principles we were learning. I created a UXD bundle which included strategy and scope analysis‚ user models and scenerios‚ site map‚ wireframes‚ visual mock ups and functioning prototypes (the UXD bundle can be downloaded as a .pdf). The original design has gone through some re–designs since the class concluded in December but the current site can be seen at jawfu.com and features W3C compliant xhtmal/css‚ javascript and ajax functionality. In development‚ is further functionality to provide a skater friendly map of DC integrated with google maps and user generated content to share skate spots‚ upload video and images of spots and other notable places in the city.
