Chase Courington is technically a Texan but has never lived in Texas.

- Bordo Bello is a skateboard art fundraiser for Youth Design Denver and Access Gallery. The event was structured as a silent auction in which I contributed 2 painted skate decks. Amazingly one sold for much more than I could have expected. The other board which I titled “The Scream” is still available for purchase and the proceeds go to the non–profits. My original design for “The Scream” was to construct a sconce type skate deck wall light. Due to budget and time I didn't get around to the electrical stuff‚ but the stretched canvas over the frame makes a pretty cool shelf as well. The other board which I titled “Tin” was inspired by modernism‚ grids‚ spirographs‚ and geodesic domes. The artwork and vector funk style of Matt W. Moore was also a huge influence on this deck and I continue to be a big fan of his work. Both boards are acrylic on wood and in some cases canvas. December‚ 2009
